ANS Shopping is the antithesis of fast fashion. Founded by Nikita, the brand focuses on “Slow Fashion”—ethically handcrafted pieces designed for the modern woman.
However, “Slow Fashion” shouldn’t mean a “Slow Website.” In early 2024, Nikita approached us with a critical challenge: Her brand was growing, but her digital storefront felt static. It failed to capture the tactile, handcrafted quality of her garments, and international customers (from the US and UK) were dropping off at checkout due to lack of localization.
We didn’t just build a store; we built a Digital Runway. We reimagined the User Experience to blend high-end editorial storytelling with high-speed conversion funnels. The result is a site that feels like a fashion magazine but converts like a powerhouse.
International customers often abandon carts if they see foreign currency or are unsure about shipping costs/taxes. The site needed to handle AUD, USD, and GBP seamlessly.
Users were getting lost between "Ready to Ship" and "Bespoke/Pre-order" items, leading to confusion about delivery times.
The standard product page flow was too slow for impulse buyers. Users had to click into every product just to see the price or add it to the cart.
Customers in the US now see "$" and UK customers see "£" automatically, removing the "math barrier" to purchase.
Users can now select their size and add to cart without leaving the collection page, significantly speeding up the "Browse-to-Buy" journey on mobile.
To combat the hesitation of buying high-ticket items online, we integrated Judge.me for verified photo reviews and Afterpay/Zip for "Buy Now, Pay Later". This reduced "price shock" and increased trust for new visitors.
A 5-Step Execution Plan That Transformed Chaos into Bookings
We started by analyzing their Shopify analytics and heatmaps. We discovered that while 40% of traffic was international, 80% of those users dropped off at checkout due to currency friction (seeing AUD prices). This pinpointed the need for a geolocation-first strategy.
To respect the "Slow Fashion" identity, we designed a layout that feels like a magazine, not a grid. We mapped out "Lookbook" pages where users could read about the artisan process and then "Shop the Look" immediately, blending storytelling with conversion.
We configured Shopify Markets to handle multi-currency logic (AUD, USD, GBP, EUR). We also integrated Judge.me for reviews and Afterpay/Zip for installment payments, ensuring the trust and payment infrastructure was ready for high-ticket global sales.
Since the brand relies on high-resolution fashion photography, we implemented a custom "Lazy Loading" framework. This ensured that 4K editorial images only loaded when they entered the user's screen, keeping the mobile site speed under 2 seconds.
Post-launch, we A/B tested the "Quick Buy" buttons on collection pages. By allowing users to add to cart without leaving the catalog, we saw an immediate uptake in impulse purchases, finalizing the site for scalable growth
