However, selling premium, high-ticket skincare online (like a $188 serum) requires immense consumer trust. The original storefront struggled to translate the luxurious, consultative experience of a physical spa into a digital format. Cold traffic was bouncing because they didn’t know which premium product was right for their unique skin type. Amala’s products are designed to be used together as an "At-Home Ritual", but the site's architecture wasn't effectively bundling these products or educating the user on the step-by-step process.
